Sample Duties

• Provides basic administration and troubleshoots daily program problems to assist internal and external users in accessing and manipulating computerized data.
  
• Provides operational support of the databases, including backup and recovery.
  
• Establishes and maintains databases for user testing purposes and production.
  
• Monitors the databases' performance and configures user and data access, and recommends changes to analysts and programmers.
  
• Consults with development team on application and database system enhancements planning, including impact analysis and risk assessment of proposed changes to the production environment.
  
• Consolidates, integrates, and transforms data, as well as debugs program errors and modifies programs in order to support the data management systems.
  
• Supports the company needs regarding reporting services, integration services and replication.
  
• Analyzes existing databases and their interfaces to identify opportunities to improve their efficiency and to resolve technical problems.
  
• Develops and maintains supporting documentation for capacity planning.
  
• Maintains database design documentation and ensures that data architecture methodologies are identified, clearly communicated and built into all database and data integration planning efforts.
  
• Establishes and utilizes effective policies and procedures for the definition, management, protection, and efficient utilization of systems, data and databases.
  

Requirements:

• Construct multimedia content by combining graphics, text, and digital audio and video.

Skills and Qualifications

• ECommerce experience required.
  
• Able to appropriately utilize all information and communication technology.
  
• Able to monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends and results and make proper recommendations.
  
• Personnel management experience is helpful.
  
• Focus, discretion, flexibility, and excellent organizational skills are essential. Ability to meet stringent deadlines and customer requirements and operate independently and as part of a team are required.
  
• At least 5 years previous project management experience.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and communicate strategies for increasing client site traffic and sales through traditional and innovative SEO techniques.
  
• Work with managers, developers, designers, and clients to improve the integration of SEO strategies with the development of website content and functionality.
  
• Present ideas and challenges to management and development teams, working with different teams to test various search engine marketing and web site design strategies that will improve search engine optimization for client websites.
  
• Remain current on the latest best practices rules, techniques and trends in SEO and internet marketing.
  
• Analyze web traffic patterns using online analytic tools.
  
• Develop SEO implementation documentation and website analysis reports for clients.
  
• Research potential keywords and phrases for search engine positioning purposes.
  
• Ensure best practice SEO techniques are adhered to for all client websites.
  
• Initiate the development of products and services based on SEO knowledge, techniques, and tools.
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or marketing, with a strong focus on web development, web design, or online marketing. Additional relevant experience may substitute for some of the education requirements.
  
• At least 2 years of experience in ethical search engine optimization.
  
• Strong knowledge of search engines, search engine algorithms, ranking factors, site traffic analysis, and web research methods.
  
• Understanding of effective web design techniques and technologies.
  
• In-depth knowledge of standard tools for keyword creation, page/keyword ranking analysis, competitor analysis, etc.
  
• Familiarity with web analytics tools and ability to create comprehensive search traffic reports.
  
• Understanding of the role of social networks, RSS, blogs, and forums in increasing the exposure and financial success of online businesses.
  
• Familiarity with the unique strengths and weaknesses of the eCommerce industry.
  
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other common programming languages a plus.

• Answers end-user technical questions about Vortx products via telephone and email.
  
• Researches third-party tools.
  
• Develops software either alone or paired as required.
  
• Documents code consistently throughout the development process.
  
• Maintains code base in secure repository.
  
• Supports senior development staff.
  
• Reports weekly status to the development team, including the Lead Developer.
  
• Responds promptly and professionally to bug reports.
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
  
• Ability to work productively in a team.
  
• Working knowledge of at least one technology platform. ( MS Sql Server, MySql, IIS, Apache, MS Reporting Services, MS Office)
